An Interview With Dr. Kerbel, A Qualified Dentist In Garland

How important is your smile?

A smile helps to portray how we feel, but for many the smile is hidden. Often times this is because they may "feel " great, but are ashamed of the way their teeth look and so they "hide " their smile. With today's modern dentistry there is no reason for anyone to "hide " their smile any longer. Cosmetic dentistry can allow every person to improve their teeth allowing them to "release " the smile that they have been holding back. Many times my patients will return after having cosmetic dentistry and tell us "everyone says I am smiling all the time and want to know why I am so happy now." We may feel great on the outside, but a "hidden smile " will fail to show the joy that lies inside. Cosmetic dentistry allows you to correct whatever is holding you back from smiling and to release a new, natural and beautiful smile to those you love.

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry allows each patient to have the smile they have always desired. For some people it may simply mean making their teeth whiter and more vibrant. For other dental patients it may mean a complete smile makeover using beautiful porcelain veneers. My approach for each patient is to help them achieve the cosmetic result they desire and this begins with listening. After a thorough exam and consultation I spend time listening to what each patient hopes to achieve and then I will begin giving them options based on the patient's expectations and what can be done for them. Since cosmetic dentistry is an elective procedure it should be based on a team approach between each patient and provider giving the utmost concern for what can be done for the patient balanced with each patient's expectations. Cosmetic dentistry can achieve beautiful results, but the beauty begins with listening to each patient.
