1. Can porcelain laminates or crowns give me lip support?
Depending on the original position of the teeth you may get slight intentional protrusion (similar to collagen injection) of the upper lip. Porcelain veneers can be made in such a way to provide some lip support, but caution has to be taken not to make the teeth appear too bulky. Bulky teeth not only do not feel natural in the mouth but also are not very esthetic.
2. Can I have white fillings?
Yes. White filling can be made of composite resins or ceramic or porcelain substrates. Composite filling are the most common dental filling types. With recent advances in chemistry and material science they can be expected to last a very long time and retain their original shine and color far longer than the earlier generations of composites.
3. What is cosmetic bonding?
The process of using special adhesives to place porcelain or ceramic veneers on the front teeth is commonly referred to as cosmetic bonding.
4. My tooth is badly broken - what can I do?
Depending on the extent of the fracture you may need a root canal therapy and a dental crown.
5. How can my dentist fill a gap in my mouth?
Depending on the size and location of the gap, there are several options available. The options range from orthodontic movement of teeth to porcelain veneers to replacing a missing tooth if that is the case.
